I have not tried one in home use. For Pro use a good sounding amp. and the build quality is good.
To hazard a guess, better than 90% of most low/mid level stuff, likely not in the league with say the best McIntosh. but then it ain't a couple grand...

I should have checked before making my trade:2 x 414-16B & 1 x 811 horn for 2 x Altec 1268 amps.now I see the 1268 doesn't seem to have any known musical performance record among our group.One good thing,I was given a brass buckle marked: ALTEC
